Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • As part of the submission process authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the folllowing items and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to theses guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submission will only be accepted through the online submission process on the website. Articles should be submitted as two unprotected word files. One file should include the title page with authors information. For blind review purposes, the second file should exclude any author information, in addtion to eliminating author identification on the properties line of the pdf file.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to intital review by the editor and, if regarded as suitable for the journal, by the editoral board review or external reviewer.

Reseach Articles 

  • Should be around 1500-3000 words, written with the following element in the order of: title page, abstract, key words, main text- introduction methods, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement, declaration of interest. references, tables, with caption (on individual pages), figures with caption (on individual pages), supplementary file (if required). 
  • Articles should contain a structured abstract of up to 400 words written with the following elements in the order of: Introduction, results, dicussion, conclusion. 
  • Articles should contain between 3 and 10 key words.
  • Main text will have an upper limit of 4 tables of figures in total. 
  • Additional information about the tables and figures may be included in a supplementary file. 

Review articles 

  • Should be around 1500-2000 words, written with the following elements in the order of the title page, abstract, key words, main text, introduction, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement, declaration of interest, references, tables with caption ( on individual pages), figures with caption (on individual pages), supplementary file if required.
  • Articles should contain a structured abstract of up to 400 words written with the following elements in the order of: introduction, results, discussion, conclusion.
  • Articles should contain between 3 and 6 keywords. 
  • Main text will have an upper limit of 4 tables or figures in total.
  • Additional information about study methods, results, tables, and figures may be included in a supplementary file.

Industry Perspectives

The Journal accepts manuscripts of 1,500 to 2000 words reporting research, news and perspectives from industries relevant to Stock Markets and Global Stock Lending. The following article types are invited. 

  • Views and news from with the market
  • case studies 

Case Studies 

  • Should be no more than 1000 words, written with the following elements in the order of the title page: abstract, key words, main text introduction, results, dicussion, conclusion, acknowledgement, declaration of interest, references, tables with caption (on individual pages), figures with caption (on individual pages) supplemantary file (if required).
  • Articles should contain a structured abstract of up to 400 words written with the following elements in the order of: introduction, results, dicussion, conclusion.
  • Articles should contain between 3 and 10 keywords.
  • Main text will have an upper limit of 4 tables or figures in total.
  • Additonal information about study methods, results, tables and figures may be included in a supplementary file.

Letters to the Editor 

Letters to the editor will be a brief communication on a topic relevant to the journal. 

  • should be no more than 500 words, written with the following elements in the order of title page, main text, acknowledgement, declarartion of interest, references tables with caption (on individual pages) figures with caption ( on individual pages). 
  • Abstracts and supplementary file are not permitted.
  • Main text will have an upper limit of 2 tables of figures in total.

Due to the volume of letters submitted to the Editor it is not always possible to provide feedback on every submission.

Copyright Licence Agreement

Authors will be required to sign a Copyright Licence Agreement (CLA) for all papers accepted for publication. Signature of the CLA is a condtion of publication and papers will not be passed to production unless a signed form has been received. Please note that signature of the CLA does not affect ownership of copyright material. You will retain all copyright on your article to GMGSL just require your permission to publish it.

After submission authors will retain the right to publish their papers in various media circumstances. 

The editor retains control over the time of publication and the right to modify the style in accordance with that for the journal. Any major changes will be agreed with the author(s). 

Preparation of the Manuscript 

Manuscript should be submitted using the online submission process as a word document accompained by a pdf version. 

Articles are accepted for publication only at the discretion of the journal editor. A manuscript may consist of a maximum of 10,000 words in certain circumstances but generally shouldn't be more than 6,00 words. The first page must display: article title; names of all authors, the name(s) and address(es) of the institution(s) at which the work was carried out the (present addresses of the authors, if different from the above, should appear in a footnote); the name, address, telephone and email numbers of author to whom all correspondance and proofs should be sent; a suggested running title of not more than fifty characters, including spaces; and six keyword in and indexing.

The text should be preceded by a short abstract (approximately 250 words). All pages must be numbered consecutively from, the title page, in the acknowledgement references and figure legends. The preferred postion of tables and figures in the text should be indicated in the left-handed margin.

It is essential that approval for the reproduction or modification of figures and tables published eleswhere is sought and obtained in writing from the authors and publishers prior to submission of papers. The original source must be quoted.

Author material achieve policy. JSMGSL will not send back any submitted material please note that if you wish JSMGL to deleted your submitted material please uniform the editorial or production editor.

Units and Spelling 

Systeme International (SI) units should be used, as given in units, Symobols and Abbreviations (4th edition, 1988) published by the Royal Society of Medicine Services Ltd, 1 wimpole Street, London W1M 8AE UK, other abbrevations should be used sparingly and only if a lengthy name or expression is repeated thoughout the text. Spelling should confirm to that used in the Concise Oxford Dictionary, publised by Oxford University Press. Authors should strenuously avoid the use of jardon or obscure techinical terms. 

References 

Bibliographical references should be in the following form: 

A Bloggs Name of Book (London, Butterworths, 1995) pp 3-5 

B Cloggs Name of Book (London, Butterworths, 2nd edn,1996) ch3

Y Zoogz' chapter title' in X yogg (ed) Name of book (London, Butterworth, 3rd edn, 1998) p88.

Subsequent references in all cases should be to Bloggs, above n 2, p 6 (or lbid, p 6 -only if referring to note immediately above).

Journal References should be in the following form:

Work that has been accepted for publications and personal communication should appear in the reference list, but may be referred to in the text (e.g. A Author, unpubl,observ:) A.N.Other, pers comm.). The editor and the publisher recommend that citation of online published papers and other material should be done via an editor and publisher recommend that citation of online published papers and other materials should be done via a DOI (digital Object Identifier) which all reputable online published should have- see http://wwwdoi.org/ for more information.

if an author cites anything which does not have a DOI they run the risk of cited material not being traceable. It is the authors responsibilty to obtain permissions from collegues to include their work as a personal communication. A letter of permission should accompany the manuscript.

Illustration

Illustrations should be embedded in your own word document. These should be referred to in the text as figures using Arabic number, e.g. fig.1, fig.2, etc, in order of apperance all printed illustrations will be produced as half tones.

Tables 

Tables should include only essential data.

Tables should be included only essential data. Each table should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals e.g. Table 1, and given a short caption. No vertical rules should be included units should appear in parentheses in the column headings and not in the body of the table. All abbreviations should be defined in a footnote.

Captions

Captions for tables should be placed above the table. Captions for illustrations should be placed below. 

Page Proofs 

Proofs will be sent via-email as an Acrobate PDF(portable document format) file. The e-mail server must be able to accept attachments up to 4MB in size. Acrobat reader will be rquired in order to read this file. This software can be downloaded(free of charge) from the following web site. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

This will enable the file to be opened, read on screen, and printed out in order for any corrections to be added. Further instructions will be sent with proof. Corrections must be emailed to the Editor within 3 days of receipt. Only typographical errors can be corrected at this stage. Major alterations to the text cannot be accepted and authors may be charged for excessive amendements.

Off Print

Free access to the rural PDF off print or your article will be avilable. Paper offprints may be purchased by contacting the press.
